This year, the Easter bunny is getting a little help with deliveries from his friends at CHI St. Alexius.
More than 80 patients at the hospital will receive special gift baskets with breakfast Easter morning.
The organization “Auxiliary” put together the gifts as part of a long-standing tradition. Volunteers say they are happy to spread cheer and the baskets are just one way to brighten up a patient’s day.
“It’s just one small way of bringing a smile to our patients won’t be at home and it also gives us the satisfaction of helping those in need,” said volunteer Marianne Blasco.
The volunteers are also planning to deliver flower bouquets and baskets to patients for May Day.
