St. Alexius Accredited by The Joint Commission

St. Alexius Medical Center recently was accredited by The Joint Commission, a private, not for profit organization which sets standards for judging the quality of healthcare organizations nationwide. The accreditation process is designed to help organizations continuously provide safe, high-quality care and treatments. St. Alexius’ accreditation is valid for three years.
Gary P. Miller, President and CEO of St. Alexius Medical Center, said accreditation by The Joint Commission nationwide is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. “The accreditation tells our patients and their families our Medical Center practices with excellence and has met The Joint Commission’s standards for quality and safety. My thanks to our physicians, nurses and all members of our St. Alexius family for making the Medical Center a great place of healing.”
St. Alexius Medical Center is a 306-bed, full-service healthcare system offering a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Emergency and Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, durable medical equipment services and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota. Since its founding in 1885, St. Alexius has been recognized with numerous accreditations and awards including: The Joint Commission, Blue Cross Blue Shield Centers of Excellence Awards and “50 Best Hospitals in America” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
