CHI Fargo Division announced today Kurt Schley has accepted the position as CHI St. Alexius Health’s market chief executive officer (CEO). Since 2012, Kurt has served as president of CHI Franciscan Health’s St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash. His first day at CHI St. Alexius Health is August 17, 2015.
As a key leader within the CHI Fargo Division, Kurt will oversee CHI St. Alexius Health’s 306-bed medical center in Bismarck and seven critical access hospitals in North and South Dakota as well as an array of clinics and other health care services.
“We are very pleased to have Kurt join our team.” said CHI’s Senior Vice President and Executive Officer Jeff Drop. “He’s an effective and proven leader and will be instrumental in the development of a regional health care system.” Kurt will report directly to Jeff Drop.
During his tenure at St. Anthony Hospital, Kurt played a key role in advancing the health care ministry on the Peninsula. In addition to leading St. Anthony, he has provided leadership to oncology services, the hospice and palliative care program, and nephrology services. He also provided interim leadership at Harrison Medical Center for several months.
