Frappier Acceleration at HPC
Athletic Development Services Frappier Acceleration was founded in the 1980’s by North Dakota native John Frappier, an exercise physiology and kinesiology graduate from Kansas State. In 1991, St. Alexius purchased the first Acceleration license. Since that time, Acceleration has grown to be one of the premier sports training programs. It currently has training centers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Brazil and Australia. |
The program features patented treadmills and sport cords
helping athletes achieve a
neuromuscular response by running at top speeds of 28 mph and at inclines of
40% grade. The sport cord technologies create a sport specific response
without excessively overloading the joint’s capabilities.
This program features progressive conditioning levels leading to several
professional levels. The program can be used as a pre-season conditioning
program, an ideal post-season conditioning program or part of a year-round
training program designed by the professionals at the Human
Performance Center.
Acceleration programs use a combination
of:
• Plyometrics
• Resistive cord technology
• Weight training
• Super treadmill
