Swimming Acceleration

The Swimming Acceleration Program is for any swimmer interested in improving his/her stroke mechanics, performance times, and recovery. This specialized training program utilizes the Swim-Ex flume pool and patented Frappier Sport Cord technology.

Swim-Ex Flume Pool

Session
The pool sessions will utilize flume technology and the patented Frappier Multi Sport Cord to provide functional resistance to the swimmer. These sessions will focus on improving muscular strength specific to the swimming stroke and increasing the anaerobic capacity of the athlete.

Plyometric Sessions
The plyometric sessions will focus on leg explosiveness to improve starts. These plyometric sessions usually last thirty to fifty minutes.

Weight Sessions
A weight program is designed to improve overall strength with special consideration given to shoulder function.

The program is six weeks, each week consists of:

  • One functional strength/anaerobic training pool session
  • Two plyometric sessions
  • Two weight sessions
