Adult Fitness Program

The Adult Fitness Program &

Fees

The Adult Fitness Program provides you with the opportunity to

begin or continue with your personalized exercise program at the

Human Performance Center (HPC).

The Adult Fitness Program can be customized to meet your individual

needs. If you know how to exercise and simply want to gain access to

the various weight and aerobic stations simply purchase a gym access

pass. Your gym access membership provides you access to all of the

equipment including the walking track, locker room, sauna and towel

service. A gym aide is available in the gym at all open hours to

answer any questions or provide assistance.

In addition to the gym access membership, the following services are

available for purchase. These additional services allow you to

customize your exercise program thus making your experience more

enjoyable and beneficial.

Additional Services

  • Instruction –  If you

would like to have instruction on how to use all of the equipment

available to you, an individual session can be arranged with one

    of our staff members.

  • Exercise Monitoring – This

service allows for participants to have their heart rate and blood

pressure monitored before or after each workout session. Heart

rates will be taken at the mid point of each aerobic session. If

medical necessity warrants, blood pressure will be taken with each

    aerobic session.

  • Fitness Testing and Prescription

    – This service provides you with the opportunity to customize

your fitness program under the supervision of an exercise

specialist without the expense of a personal trainer. The program

is also recommended for those individuals who have been referred

by a physician or have medical conditions that warrant such

    testing and exercise supervision. This

service includes: flexibility measurements, body fat testing,

sub max aerobic testing, strength testing, one-on-one initial

exercise session, one-on-one initial strength session, exercise

prescription, two week follow-up visit with your exercise

specialist, exercise monitoring prescribed by your exercise

specialist, instruction on all equipment, monthly follow-up with

your exercise specialist, and membership renewal or last day

review. The results of this service will be utilized to

develop a fitness program that meets your individual needs in a safe

    and effective fashion.

  • Follow-up Fitness Testing and

Prescription – This service is available to all

individuals who would like to retest and compare results from

their initial Fitness Testing and Prescription.

  • Personal Training

Personal trainers help with motivation, education or just the

social aspect of having someone to work out with. A personal

trainer can be very beneficial in achieving your fitness goals

when combined with Fitness Testing and Prescription. Personal

Training can be scheduled on an hourly basis.

Weight training

is an important component of any exercise routine. The weight lifting

component of the supervised Adult Fitness Program is incorporated on an
