The therapists at HPC
are all licensed and experienced in each of their fields. Our
professional staff includes licensed Physical Therapists, Physical
Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, a Certified Hand
Rehabilitation Specialist and Certified Athletic Trainers. Each
therapist is educated in screening, evaluation, treatment and
rehabilitation of a variety of disorders. Our therapists take pride in
assisting individuals to return to their maximum level of function.

Lymphedema
Lymphedema is a high protein swelling usually affecting an arm or leg after
surgery and/or radiation for treatment of various cancers. A comprehensive
treatment of lymphedema will be provided by specially trained therapists.
This treatment regimen may include manual lymphatic drainage, multi-layered
bandaging, intermittent pneumatic compression, fitting with a compression
garment or instruction of home management techniques.
In collaboration with MidDakota Clinic and other area physicians and
providers, a specialized treatment for a variety of women’s health issues is
provided through a comprehensive treatment approach. This may include
treatment for:
- continence management
- pelvic pain
- pregnancy-related issues
A warm, safe environment is provided by using buoyancy and the properties of
water in order to improve flexibility, strength, stabilization, and gait
training. Aquatic therapy in combination with a land-based program is used
to treat a variety of neurologic and musculoskeletal dysfunctions to gain
patient independence.
Manual therapy is a hands-on technique used to evaluate and treat soft
tissue injuries and joint problems for the purpose of regulating pain,
increasing range of motion, reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation
or facilitating movement and improving function.
Craniosacral Therapy is a technique which is a gentle, low-force
mobilization of the craniosacral system including structure of the head,
spine and pelvis. These systems are mobilized to enhance tissue flexibility
and fluid flow for pain reduction in treatment of conditions such as
recurrent headaches, neck pain and back pain.
Rehab is provided to individuals with varying types of dizziness and balance
deficiencies including positional vertigo, inner ear infection (labrynthitis,
vestibular neuronitis) or general balance and equilibrium disorders.
Specialized treatment of spinal and joint dysfunctions from joint disease,
recreational, work-related or sports injuries is provided. Injuries may
include the spine (neck/back), shoulder, wrist, hand, pelvis, hip, knee or
ankle. Free injury screenings available.
and Athletic Training
An evaluation, treatment and functional testing will be provided in order to
design a regimen ensuring the most rapid recovery possible. Our team of
therapists and athletic trainers have the opportunity to watch an athlete’s
injury progress on a day-to-day basis and are dedicated to returning the
region’s athletes to complete functional activity.
Functional Testing:
Basic and advanced functional testing is provided to determine if an
individual/athlete is ready to return to full functional
recreational/athletic activity. Free injury screenings available.
Evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic, neurologic, tendon and cumulative
trauma, wound care and other disorders of the upper extremities will be
provided. Occupational and Certified Hand Therapists specialize in hand
trauma for all age groups. Evaluation of activities of daily living,
splinting, training with adaptive equipment and other techniques will be
used to enhance function.
A biomechanical assessment is a study of your body’s movement patterns as
you complete a specific task such as walking, jumping or throwing. It is the
intent of this assessment to see if an altered movement pattern exists and
if so what can be done to eliminate it.
Corporate/Industrial Medicine Services

Anodyne therapy is an infrared medical device that uses photo energy to
increase circulation and decrease pain. Anodyne is most commonly used for
treatment of peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes, circulatory problems,
medications, chemotherapy, alcohol, and other unknown causes. It may also be
used for other conditions that may benefit from reduced pain and increased
circulation such as: non-union fractures, wounds, pinched nerves, nerve
pain, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, cellulitis, tennis elbow, Bell’s Palsy, and
other diagnoses.
Treatment is available for a variety of neurologic conditions including, but
not limited to:
- Parkinson’s
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Balance dysfunctions
Evaluation and assessment will be performed to provide exercise
prescription, energy conservation techniques, retraining, and a variety of
other physical treatments depending on the individual needs of the patient.
Post Surgical/ Post Injury Rehabilitation Progression
A variety of conditions warrant the need for surgical intervention. Our
staff is available to assist in returning you to full functional and work
related activity as soon as possible. While working closely with your
physician, treatment will be tailored to your specific needs.
Treatment is also available for a variety of conditions that occur due to or
after trauma, injury or accident that may need more extensive therapy and
rehab including, but not limited to:
- CVA (cerebrovascular accident)
- TBI (traumatic brain injury)
- SCI (Spinal cord injury)
- Amputation
Arthritis in any form can be a debilitating condition that plagues many of
us at some time in our lives. We offer a variety of different approaches in
treatment including physical treatments, gentle stretching, strengthening,
splinting and aquatic therapy, among others.
