Laceration repair - Center for Family Medicine Mandan
What is it? Repairing wounds from cuts, falls, or other injuries.
Why do I need it? Some injuries will not heal properly without repair. Closing wounds can also reduce the risk of infection or bleeding.
How is it done? Depending on the location, size and depth of the wound, your doctor may use Derma-bond (similar to super glue), stitches or staples to close an injury. For stitches and staples, an injection is given to numb the skin.
