Surgical Services Center of Excellence
St. Alexius Medical Center Surgical Services is committed to providing outstanding, compassionate care and service. The surgeons and anesthesiologist at St. Alexius have completed their education and fellowships at some of the top universities in the country and are board certified. We are proud to say that their expertise is evident throughout the hospital. St. Alexius is a Level II Trauma Center and has a fully staffed operating room 24-hours a day.
St. Alexius Surgical Services performs approximately 6700 cases per year. A full compliment of surgical procedures are performed including general, orthopedic, cardiovascular / thoracic, neurosurgical, endoscopic, urologic, EENT, plastics, and oral-maxillofacial. Some of the more common procedures include:- Total knee and hip replacements
- Spinal surgery
- Laparoscopic surgery, for example, gall bladder
- Open heart and vascular surgery
- Fracture repairs
