Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – 2 Day
Multiple trauma has become known as the most neglected disease of the decade. Trauma kills more people between the ages of 15 & 24 – more than all other causes combined. It is also the leading cause of death and disability for all age groups up to the age of 45.
The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recognized that these statistics were grim reminders that the lack of prompt, definitive and standardized trauma care was producing fragmented, and presumably substandard, care for trauma patients. The ability to provide a mechanism that would elevate the quality of care for trauma victims became a priority within the association.
The Trauma Nursing Core Course has been designed by nurses for nurses. Its intent is to provide a consistent knowledge base and approach nurses rendering trauma care. This course will enhance cognitive skills, sharpen technical skills and provide a foundation for future learning. Its ultimate purpose is to improve the level of care provided in emergency care settings – large, small, rural and urban.

The Trauma Nursing Core Course is limited to Registered Nurses.

Pre-payment must be made prior to the course. Books and materials will not be sent out until payment is received.
You must cancel at least 3 weeks before the course if you are unable to attend in order to receive a refund. This course implements the 2015 revisions and 7th Edition of the text. Previous text editions are outdated and will not be used. There is limited seating per course. You are considered registered when a completed form and payment are received and a spot is available. If there are not enough registrants for the course, it will be cancelled.

Education Credits
15.58 contact hours will be provided by the Emergency Nurses Association. The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
