Keith Happel, MD
Dr. Happel joined Mid Dakota Clinic PrimeCare in June 2000, as a board-certified internal medicine specialist in both the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining Mid Dakota Clinic, he was on staff with MeritCare Clinic in Valley City, and also UniMed and Trinity Hospitals in Minot. He also served as chief of medicine at S. Michael’s General Hospital and Lethbridge Regional Hospital in Canada. Dr. Happel is FAA approved to perform flight physicals and has special interest in geriatrics, osteoporosis and educating patinets about healthy lifestyles. He serves as Medical Director of the Mid Dakota Osteoporosis Center and is certified to read bone densitometry studies. Dr. Happel received his medical degree from St. Thomas’ Hospital Medical School at the University of London, and completed his internal medicine residency at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, where he also was chief resident. Dr. Happel also served as a clinical lecturer in internal medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Happel is a member of the American Medical Athletic Association, American Heart Association, American Medical Association, and North Dakota Medical Association. He is licensed to practice internal medicine in North Dakota, Ohio, and Canada.
