Nicholas Neumann, MD
Dr. Neumann joined the UND Center for Family Medicine and is a specialist in lung diseases and disorders. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Neumann received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Dayton in Ohio, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his internship and two additional years of Internal Medicine residency at the Detroit Receiving Hospital. He then completed a two year pulmonary fellowship training. He also has earned a Masters degree in Medical Management (MMM) from Tulane University. Dr. Neumann is a Professor of Medicine and the Assistant Dean for the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences (UNDSMHS), and is responsible for the Southwest Campus. He was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Southwest Campus in both 1985-86 and 1992-93. He has participated with the St. Alexius Medical Center Clinical Research Services in various scientific studies and investigations primarily related to treatment of patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Dr. Neumann is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the North Dakota Medical Association, The American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American College of Physician Eecutives.
