Steven Schmidt, PhD

Dr. Steven Schmidt joined Archway Mental Health Services in 1998. He completed his clinical internship at Indiana University Medical Center. He received his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas and Masters degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University. His undergraduate degree, also in Psychology, is from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Dr. Schmidt sees a wide variety of clients, primarily adults and adolescents. His treatment orientation involves the use of interpersonal, psychodynamic and cognitive approaches. He has particular interests in personality assessment and bereavement/grief issues.
