Shamoon Ahmed, MD
Dr. Shamoon Ahmed is a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist with advanced education, training and experience in Infectious Disease. Dr. Ahmed will serve as a Hospitalist, treating adult hospitalized patients, and patients with infectious disease problems. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Francis Medical Center, New Jersey. Dr. Ahmed served on the staff in the Infectious Disease Fellowship program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York.
Dr. Ahmed is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America as well as a Diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been a member of the Medical and Dental Council in his home country of Pakistan, and is a member of the Amercian College of Physicians. From July 1998 until his affiliation with Mid Dakota Clinic in October, 2000, Dr. Ahmed practiced Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease in his home country, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates, where he also served as a Hospitalist. He is licensed to practice medicine in New York, New Jersey, and North Dakota.
