Bob Gietzen began practicing acupuncture in 1986. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota. Bob also became a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 1986. His post-graduate training was in acupuncture and Advanced Oriental Medicine. In 1991 Bob became a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics. Prior to coming to St. Alexius, Bob had a private practice with his wife Lori in Greeley, Colorado. Lori Gietzen also is a licensed chiropractor and also is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He joined St. Alexius Center’s Center of Integrated Medicine in March 2001. Bob’s approach to his work is as part of a team using acupuncture as a tool to compliment conventional treatment. He practiced acupuncture for 15 years at one of the largest traditional Chinese Medicine clinics in a five-state area. He has completed hundreds of hours of classroom study and has administered well over 35,000 acupuncture treatments.
