Sanathana Murthy, MD
Dr. Sanathana Murthy joined the Heart & Lung Clinic in July 1979. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a specialist in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
A native of Dodballapur, India, Dr. Murthy came to the United States in July 1973. He received his medical degree from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India. He completed his three years of residency in Internal Medicine at Worcester City Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts, affiliate of University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed two years of Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, Connecticut, affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine. He finished third year Fellowship in Cardiovascular Radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California.
In 1991-92, Dr. Sanathana Murthy attended a year long fellowship at Stanford, specializing in Cardiac Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology. Dr. Murthy is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology, Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians, and Fellow of American College of Physicians. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine with the UND School of Medicine. He is licensed to practice in North Dakota, Maine, California and Minnesota.
