Jose Wiley, MD
Jose M. Wiley MD is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with the St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic. Dr. Wiley, originally from Puerto Rico, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Dayton in Ohio. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Dr. Wiley also completed and internship in Internal Medicine at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico and a residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Wiley also completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Tulane University School of Medicine and a second fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
Dr. Wiley is an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, has been an Instructor in the Biomedical Department of the Instituto Educacion Universal in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and is an ACLS Instructor for the American Heart Association. He has participated in numerous clinical trials and has written for numerous professional medical journals.
Dr. Wiley is a member of the American Medical Association, the Puerto Rico Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the South Dakota Medical Society and is licensed to practice in the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Louisiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Florida and Nebraska and Puerto Rico. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
