Richard Athey, PhD MD

Dr. Richard Athey is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist affiliated with Archway Mental Health Services at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. He earned a PhD in physiology and pharmacology from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He later went on to complete a medical degree at East Carolina University School of Medicine. Dr. Athey completed his residency training in psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Ohio.
