Michael Booth, MD, PhD

Dr. Michael Booth is a thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon who joined the Heart & Lung Clinic in Bismarck in 1989. His medical degree is from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. His surgical residency was undertaken at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, from which he also received a PhD in Physiology. His thoracic surgery training was taken at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Booth is certified both by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He also holds an NASPE certificate of special competency in Cardiac Pacing and Cardioversion Defibrillation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Cardiology, as well as a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
