Gaylord Kavlie, MD

Born in Fairbault, Minnesota, Dr. Kavlie grew up in North Dakota. He received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Grand Forks, attended Minot State College and is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree, completing his surgical residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.

Dr. Kavlie has been an emergency medicine physician at Huron Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, both located in South Dakota. He has been a clinical associate for the Department of Surgery of Anatomy at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Prior to joining Mid Dakota Clinic, he was a surgeon at Mid State Clinic in Harvey, North Dakota. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at UND School of Medicine, a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and Northern Plains Vascular Surgical Society. He is licensed to practice his surgical specialty in North Dakota.
