Farhan Tariq, MD
Dr. Farhan Tariq is a board-certified neurologist at The Clinics of St. Alexius. After receiving his medical degree at King Edward Medical College, Pakistan, he was enrolled in postgraduate medical training in Mayo Hospital, Pakistan. He was also part of teaching faculty in Fatima Memorial Medial College. Dr. Tariq completed a residency in neurology at The University of Oklahoma, and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with special training in neuromuscular and epilepsy at Saint Louis University.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Medical Association and Oklahoma State Medical Association. Dr. Tariq published on various topics in his area of expertise and is actively involved in various ongoing research projects. He is specially trained to provide medical treatment for disorders and diseases of the nervous system, such as: neuromuscular disorders, seizures, headache, stroke, multiple sclerosis, autonomic disorders, sleep disorders, dementia and movement disorders.
Dr. Tariq's interests include peripheral neuropathies, ALS, neuromuscular junction disorders and electrodiagnostic studies. His areas of expertise in special electrodiagnostic studies include autonomic testing, Botox injection, continued EEG monitoring, VNS, deep brain stimulation, evoked potentials and skin biopsies.
