Leslie Rainwater, MD, is a board certified specialist in Urology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Mayo Medicine School in Rochester, Minnesota. Following medical school, he completed his internship in surgical services at the Mayo Graduate School, completed a Urologic Oncology Research Fellowship, before completeing his residency in Urology at the Mayo Graduate School. During his residency he was Senior Registrar for Chairman Mr. John Bandy at The London Hospital in London, England, and visiting Fellow to Mr. Geoffrey Chisholm at the Edinburgh University Hospital in Scotland.
Dr. Rainwater is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the North Central Section of the AUA, current member and past President of the Minnesota Urologic Society.
Dr. Rainwater has received special training in Brachytherapy for Prostate Cancer, Lasers in Urology for Kidney Stones and Prostate Surgery and Microvascular Surgery. He has made numerous Urologic presentations both nationally and internationally, published numerous Urologic articles and book chapters, and is involved as principal investigator of numerous clinical trials involving prostate cancer.
