Two St. Alexius physicians, Dr. Karen Brown and Dr. Lisa Francis, received Dean’s Special Recognition Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Faculty at the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences commencement ceremony on May 13, 2012. These awards are given to volunteer faculty who do an exemplary job of teaching the art and science of medicine. Dr. Karen Brown is a neonatologist in St. Alexius’ neonatal intensive care unit. Dr. Lisa Francis is a rheumatologist at The Clinics of St. Alexius.
