
Parents should always keep a close eye on their kids but today at Mary, hundreds of kids are learning how to protect themselves. At Summer Fun and Safety Day over one thousand first and third graders are learning abou safety from the people that know it best.
Firemen, Highway Patrol, Police Officers, and many other emergency responders attended. They even had a karate booth to teach kids about basic self-defense.
“You have to make big circles when you have when they try and get your hand, and then you have to step and then you have to take out their knee.” says Katie Volk, Prairie Rose Elementary Students. Kids also got tours of firetrucks, ambulances, and patrol cars.
