The Telemetry unit is a 32 bed inpatient unit providing care to patients
requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and/or nursing care intermediate to
ICU and the general medical/surgical level of care. There are 14 additional
remote monitoring units available for the monitoring of patients in other
areas of the medical center.
The predominate
patient populations served are adult and geriatric patients. Infrequently a
child, or adolescent patient may be served. The most frequent patient
populations are: cardiac, pulmonary and medical. The predominate diagnostic
groups served are Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty, Acute
Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Coronary Artery Bypass
Graft, and Pacemaker implants. |
