CARE

Clergy of all faiths are

welcome at St. Alexius Medical Center and are

extended every courtesy in comforting patients. If you would like us to

notify your place of worship that you are a patient at St. Alexius, our

pastoral care staff would is pleased to assist you. St. Alexius abides by

the ETHICAL AND RELIGIOUS DIRECTIVES for Catholic Health

Care.

 

Pastoral staff includes, priests,

sisters, and ministers qualified to

offer services. Chaplains are available for ethical guidance in

End-Of-Life decisions, in crises, impending death, trauma, and routine

visits to provide for your pastoral/spiritual care and offer support to

you and your family. Daily distribution of Holy Communion to Catholic

patients and other Sacraments are available upon request. Communion to

protestant patients is upon request. The chaplains minister to everyone

who enters the hospital With Respect and Dignity regardless of

race, color, or creed. We respect cultural differences at St. Alexius by

reflecting on Our Mission which is based on the Gospel and the Benedictine

Motto: Let all be received as Christ.

The hospital Chapel, located at the front entrance on the main floor of

St. Alexius is open at all hours to provide a quiet place for reflection

and prayer.

Daily- Monday

through Friday on Channel

24 at 7:45 a.m.

Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday at 8:15 a.m.

 

 

SERVICES

Patients of all denominations are seen by a staff member of the

hospital’s pastoral care department. Clergy of all affiliations are

welcomed at St. Alexius and are extended every courtesy to go about their

healing ministry. Often a simple prayer or gentle touch can ease a patient’s

sorrow and fears. The hospital chaplain can be reached at  701-530-7000.
