Gisvold, Christina – FNP-C

Christina Gisvold is a nurse practitioner in interventional radiology at the St. Alexius Heart & Vascular Center. She graduated from University of Mary with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing. In addition, she completed advanced practice studies to become a family nurse practitioner.

Christina has experience in the areas of intensive care and telemetry. Prior to joining the interventional radiology team, she worked in St. Alexius’ intensive care unit. Christina holds advanced certifications in cardiac life support, pediatric life support, critical care nursing and trauma nursing.

She is instrumental in many aspects of patient management and care. Christina assists St. Alexius’ interventional radiologists with pre-procedural work-ups, patient education, coordinating care during admissions, patient follow up clinic visits, inpatient rounds, ordering appropriate lab work and diagnostic tests and prescribing medications and treatments as indicated.
