Dialysis Services
CHI St. Alexius Health started the first dialysis unit in western North Dakota in 1973. Now CHI St. Alexius Health' dialysis unit has 19 state-of-the-art dialysis stations and provides comprehensive management and therapy options for all stages of kidney disease and kidney failure. This includes acute and chronic dialysis as well as home peritoneal dialysis and training.
Our dialysis patients enjoy Bose sound systems, telephone and internet access, flat screen TVs at each dialysis station and individually controlled heat and lighting. These amenities are all combined in a tranquil and pleasing environment.
CHI St. Alexius Health dialysis units offer a team approach to caring for our patients. Physicians, nurses, social workers and dietitians work together to provide a comprehensive care plan to help patients maintain their quality of life.
In addition, CHI St. Alexius Health supports dialysis units at Mercy Medical Center, Williston, and at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. These units have seven dialysis stations and provide chronic dialysis services for people in these rural communities.
