Great Plains Rehabilitation Services’ goal is to improve the overall quality of life of patients with limitations imposed by aging or injury, disease, or lack of development. This process occurs through offering these individuals external devices known as an orthosis (brace) and prosthesis (artificial limb). Great Plains orthotic and prosthetic clinicians evaluate, design, manufacture, assemble, fit and adjust braces for those in need of physical support.
Clinicians begin with a patient assessment and then form a treatment plan with the patient, the patient’s healthcare provider and other allied professionals. Great Plains has a wide range of off-the-shelf or customer-made braces for your individual needs.

Prosthetic Care (Artificial Limb)
Prosthetics is the science of evaluating, designing, producing, fitting and providing a prosthesis or artificial limb. Prosthetists begin with a patient assessment and form a treatment plan with the patient, the patient’s healthcare provider and other allied professionals. The prosthetist will continue to follow the patient, improving the quality of life for amputees.

Custom Designs
Prosthetic limbs, orthopedic braces and cranial helmets can be customized and personalized. Practically any design the patient wishes, can be created. Great Plains offers lifelike cosmetic covers for artificial limbs, with natural appearing upper and lower extremity prosthetics. If you are missing a finger or toe, cosmetic digit replacement is available.
SYMBIONIC LEG
Great Plains Rehabilitation Services is one of the first 40 providers in the world to custom fit The SYMBIONIC LEG. With the SYMBIONIC LEG, the bionic knee and bionic ankle work together to sense in real-time where the amputee is and on what environment he or she is walking, making adjustments for ground forces and terrain changes. The leg is equipped with an advanced stumble recovery feature which provides instant stance support should the user trip. Additionally, the leg allows the user to switch shoes and even walk barefoot without compromising the settings of the leg.
