CHI St. Alexius Health Occupational Medicine offers American Heart Association First Aid and CPR classes for professionals in all areas of work. The classes can be provided on-site at the busines or at our facility, simply call to make arrangements.
Classes include:
Heartsavers® CPR/AE D
This course is designed for all employees and employers and/or designated first responders who may or may not have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. You’ll learn one-rescuer adult and child CPR with a mask, adult and child choking, adult and child AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) and optional infant CPR and choking.
Heartsavers® First Aid
This course is designed for all employees and employers and/or designated first responders who may or may not haye a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regular requirements. You’ll learn adult first aid, including first aid basics, medical emergencies and injury emergencies, with the option of environmental emergency training.
Heartsavers® Pediatric First Aid
This course is designed for those involved in child care who may or may not have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including child care workers,
teachers, foster care providers, camp counselors, youth organizations and coaches. You’ll learn pediatric first aid, including first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, with the option of asthma care training for child care providers and/or environmental emergency training.
Healthcare Provider CPR Class
This course is designed for healthcare providers and students who are seeking training that offers a credential documenting successful completion. You’ll learn one and two-rescuer adult, child and infant CPR, foreign body airway obstruction and the use of pocket masks, bag valve masks and AEDs.
Healthcare Provider Refresher Class
This course is designed for professionals who have a current Healthcare Provider CPR card that may be close to expiring. The class is required for renewal of Healthcare Provider CPR every two years.
